The Cookie Thief:
Wayne Dyer…Story of the cookie thief: By Valerie Cox
A woman was waiting at an
airport one night with several long hours before her flight, she hunted for a
book in the airport shop and bought a bag of cookies and found a place to drop.
She was engrossed in her book
but happed to see that a man beside her as bold as could be crabbed a cookie or
two from the bag between which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene, she
munched cookies and watched the clock as the gutsy cookie thief diminished her
stock, she was getting more irritated as the minutes went by and thought if I wasn’t
so nice I’d blacken his eye.
With each cookie she took he took one too. With only one left she wondered what he’d do, with a smile on his face and a nervous laugh he took the last cookie and broke it in half. He offered her half as he ate the other, she snatched it from him and thought OH BROTHER this guy has some nerve and he’s also rude why he didn’t even show any gratitude. She had never known when she had been so galled, and sighed with relief when her flight was called. She gathered her belongings and headed for the gate refusing to look back at the thieving ingrate, she boarded the plane and sank into her seat and sought her book which was almost complete as she reached in her baggage and gasped with surprise there was her bag of cookies in front of her eyes. If mine are here she moaned with despair the others were his and he
tried to share, too late to apologize
she realized with grief she was the rude one the ingrate the thief!
NOW…all of us are cookies thieves
in some capacity or another.
I Know I Am!
Forgiveness Or NON-judgement:
About
forgiveness …the Ultimate Experience:
To forgive someone is NOT a
spiritual quality, not necessarily.
What? Not forgive yes you
should forgive if necessary, however if you are a highly evolved being “and
very few people are” you will not NEED to forgive a person.
Why is this? Because if you
forgive a person, you have already judged them, you already took the negative
position within yourself that’s why you have to forgive, if were completely
open and nothing touched you, you would not know what the word forgive means.
Because forgive means to let go.
Example from the bible:
When the woman who was about
to be stoned by her accusers, the Christ came by and made the famous statement
…he without sin cast the first stone and they and they all left.
He turned to the woman and
said where are your accusers?
He looked at her with
compassion and said,
NEITHER DO I CONDEME THEE!
There is the key statement,
why did he say that? BECAUSE he never judged or condemned her in the first
place “he simply never held it against her”.
So, there was NO NEED for
forgiveness!!
LOL, all Our fundamentalist
preachers have this one wrong!
