About the author-Walter Zimmerman

I’m not a theologian, a psychologist, or a spiritual authority.
I’m simply someone who asked questions I was once afraid to ask.

Like many people, I grew up with beliefs that I accepted because I trusted the people who taught them to me. For years I tried to make everything fit — even when parts of it created anxiety, guilt, and a constant sense that I was somehow never quite good enough. When doubts began to appear, I didn’t feel rebellious. I felt scared. Questioning felt dangerous, and silence felt safer.

Eventually I realized the fear wasn’t coming from truth — it was coming from uncertainty I had never been allowed to explore.

WILAA1 grew out of that personal journey. Not as a mission to tear anything down, but as a place to think honestly, talk openly, and help others who may be quietly wrestling with the same thoughts. I know how isolating that experience can feel, especially when it seems like everyone around you is certain and you are not.

I don’t claim to have all the answers. In fact, one of the most peaceful discoveries I’ve made is that you don’t need all the answers to live a meaningful life. What matters is the freedom to ask sincere questions without fear, and the courage to trust your own ability to reason, reflect, and grow.

If you’ve ever felt conflicted, confused, or alone in your thinking, you’re not strange and you’re not broken.
You’re human — and you’re welcome here
